Loopy Terms of Service

Effective Date: September 14, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Loopy application and its related features (“Loopy” or the “Service”).

By downloading, installing, or using Loopy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of the Service

Loopy is a language-learning media player and browser that helps users study with videos, audio, subtitles, and web content.

Depending on the device, operating system, language, region, selected settings, and access level, Loopy may provide features such as:

Some features may require Loopy Pro access, an internet connection, additional model downloads, supported Apple system services, or access to third-party websites.

Loopy is a learning and productivity tool. Except for clearly identified bundled sample content provided under its applicable license, Loopy does not provide, host, sell, or license third-party media or web content.

2. Eligibility and Acceptance

You must be legally capable of agreeing to these Terms.

If you are a minor under the laws of your country or region, you should use Loopy only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. App Store License

Loopy is distributed through Apple’s App Store.

Unless a separate custom license agreement is provided, your license to use the application is governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement:

https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

These Terms supplement the applicable App Store terms and Apple’s license agreement. If there is a conflict, Apple’s applicable terms will control to the extent required.

4. User Content and Content Rights

You retain any ownership rights you hold in files, recordings, words, sentences, notes, subtitles, and other content that you create or import into Loopy.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the legal right or permission to:

Loopy does not grant you ownership of or permission to use third-party content. Bundled sample content remains subject to the license and attribution information provided with that content.

The ability to access content through Loopy does not mean that the content may legally be copied, downloaded, modified, translated, distributed, or used for commercial purposes.

5. Prohibited Uses

You must not use Loopy to:

Loopy is not designed to circumvent DRM or other technological protection measures.

6. Browser and Third-Party Websites

Loopy includes browser features that allow users to visit and interact with external websites.

External websites are operated independently from Loopy. They may:

You are responsible for reviewing and complying with the terms of each website you use.

Loopy does not control or guarantee external websites, their content, their availability, their security, or their data practices. Access through Loopy does not imply endorsement of an external website.

7. Dictionary, Translation, Search, and AI Services

Loopy may allow users to open dictionary, translation, search, phrase-video, AI, or custom URL services.

When you select one of these services, the selected word, sentence, example, prompt, or URL may be sent to the applicable external service.

These services may include Apple services, search engines, dictionary providers, translation providers, YouGlish, Yarn, PlayPhrase, ChatGPT, Gemini, or other websites selected by the user.

Third-party services are not operated by Loopy. Their:

may change at any time.

Loopy does not guarantee that an external service will continue to work with the application. Accounts, subscriptions, purchases, and disputes involving an external provider are subject to that provider’s terms.

8. OCR, Translation, Subtitles, and Speech Recognition

Loopy may use Apple system technologies or locally downloaded models to perform OCR, translation, subtitle generation, speech transcription, waveform analysis, and related learning functions.

Automatically generated text, subtitles, translations, timing information, definitions, and AI responses may contain errors or omissions.

You should review generated results before relying on them. Loopy does not guarantee:

Loopy is not intended to provide legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

9. Local Data and Device Permissions

Most data created or imported in Loopy is stored locally on the user’s device by default. Selected data may also be stored in iCloud through the backup features described in Section 10.

Loopy may request access to device features when necessary, including:

Permissions can be managed through the device’s Settings app where supported. Disabling a permission may prevent the related feature from working.

Records used to manage free-trial eligibility and previously activated trials may be retained in secure device storage after the application is deleted. These records help prevent a previously used trial from restarting after reinstallation.

10. Backups, iCloud, and Data Loss

Loopy supports backup-file export and iCloud backup and restoration for selected app data.

When iCloud is available, Loopy may upload supported backup data to the iCloud account associated with your device. Automatic backup is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings → Data Management → iCloud Backup. You can also create and restore backups manually.

Automatic backups depend on factors such as iCloud availability, account settings, available storage, network connectivity, and background execution permitted by the operating system. A backup may not occur immediately after every change.

iCloud backups are saved restore points. They do not continuously synchronize all app data or media files between devices.

Depending on the backup method and supported features, backups may include items such as:

Backups do not include original video, audio, or subtitle files, board data, shadowing recordings, downloaded models, cookies, cache, or other large or temporary files unless the app explicitly states otherwise.

You are responsible for maintaining copies of important files and verifying that exported or backed-up data can be restored.

Loopy does not guarantee that every type of data can be recovered after:

Deleting Loopy does not necessarily delete existing iCloud backups, exported files, or data stored by external websites. Such data may need to be deleted separately.

11. Free Features, Pro Purchases, and Trials

Free Access

Loopy provides basic playback and selected features for free. Other features require an active trial or Loopy Pro. Selecting a restricted feature may display the Pro purchase screen.

Loopy Pro

Loopy Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription or recurring payments. The price is displayed before purchase.

Pro unlocks Loopy’s tools, not third-party content or subscriptions.

7-Day Free Trials

Loopy may offer 7-day free trials. Trial availability and conditions are displayed in the app.

Free trials do not result in automatic charges. After a trial ends, basic free features remain available.

12. Service Changes and Compatibility

Loopy may be updated to:

Features that depend on Apple services, external websites, downloaded models, or operating-system capabilities may become unavailable or behave differently after those services change.

Where reasonably possible, significant changes affecting paid features will be handled consistently with applicable law and App Store requirements.

13. Intellectual Property

Loopy’s software, interface, design, branding, icons, documentation, and original content are owned by the Developer or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to the applicable App Store license and these Terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, and non-transferable right to use Loopy for its intended purpose.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of Loopy or any third-party content to you.

Third-party and open-source components remain subject to their applicable licenses.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Loopy is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

The Developer does not guarantee that Loopy will:

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or unforeseeable losses arising from:

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.

16. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using Loopy at any time by deleting the application.

The Developer may restrict or discontinue access to a feature when reasonably necessary to:

Deleting Loopy may remove locally stored data and unused local trial offers. Existing iCloud backups, exported files, secure trial-usage records, and data stored by external websites are not necessarily deleted when the app is removed.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without depriving users of mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of their country or region.

Any dispute will be handled by a court with jurisdiction under applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes in Loopy, third-party services, App Store requirements, or applicable law.

The updated Terms will be published with a revised effective date. Where required, reasonable notice or additional consent will be provided for material changes.

If you do not agree to an updated version, you should stop using Loopy.
